As a result of this trend, many American and European central business districts have lost their vitality and dynamicity, uncovering a notable migration of workers from bustling urban centers to suburban areas and the evolvinglifestyle and housing preferences of individuals.
In this article, realized in occasion of a new collaboration with Economic Society for Bocconi Students (ESBS), we will analyze the literature on the topic and compare relevant trends to unveil the current situation, focusing on the Italian market.
