INTRODUCTION


Founded in September 2024, JEME Capital is the newest arm of JEME, dedicated to investing a portion of the association’s liquidity in financial assets. Inspired by the most prestigious Student Investment Funds (SIFs), JEME Capital is the first initiative of its kind in Italy and aims to become one of the leading student investment funds in Europe. Its primary mission is to establish a lasting, high-impact educational platform, providing JEME members with practical skills in equity research, portfolio management and risk analysis.

INVESTMENT PHILOSOPHY AND PROCESS

JEME Capital adopts the value investing philosophy, focusing on companies with solid fundamentals, undervalued securities and long-term growth potential. The portfolio is constructed through long-only investments and diversified across equities, bonds, and ETFs. This approach aims to generate sustainable capital growth over time while maintaining effective risk management.

The investment process follows a structured top-down model. It begins with in-depth macroeconomic analysis to identify sectors with the best long-term growth prospects. Once a sector is selected, a detailed sector analysis is conducted to identify the most promising companies. These companies then undergo thorough equity research. Finally, investment proposals are presented in a stock pitch to the Investment Committee, which has the final responsibility to approve or reject the initiative.

SUPERVISORY BOARD

JEME Capital is led by a Supervisory Board, tasked with monitoring the fund’s performance and guiding its strategic direction. The Board is composed of six members, including industry professionals, Bocconi University faculty, and JEME alumni. Each group brings a distinct perspective, contributing to the fund’s long-term growth and success. The Board meets twice a year with the JEME Capital team to review progress, examine investment decisions, and provide strategic guidance. Its recommendations aim to improve internal processes, deepen specific areas of analysis, refine investment strategies, and offer valuable industry insights.
